the problem of neeraj related to percentage

Neeraj is from my village. He is quite smart and tall. Now he is studying in khatima for graduation. Two days back , we met in tanakpur at a famous FAST FOOD CENTRE, that is run by two energetic boys Ram and Prakash. Neeraj put a question before me that was bothering him a lot. most of the time this question really does that to anybody. The question is simple, but that can cause you to take some medicine for headache. now to question-

If the income of suraj is 10% more than manoj. Then how much less(in percentage) is manoj's income than suraj?

Neeraj was sure that its answer must be 10%. most of us thinks same because practically it seems so. Suppose manoj earns 100 rupees. According to question suraj must earn 110 rupees then. then definitely the difference is 10 rupees. This means suraj earns 10 rs more than manoj and manoj earns 10 rs less than suraj. But when we are talking about percentage the situation becomes a bit changed. Here you don't have to count the -less or more, according to the actual income. When it comes to percentage you must know that now you have to calculate at the rate of 100. So, the question really want to know- yes, it is right manoj earns 10 rupees less than suraj. but count it at the rate of 100. so the question will be solved this way.
at 110 rupees manoj earns 10 rupees less
so at 100 he will earn =     (10/110) multiply it with 100. and this will become, 100/11 or 9(1/11)%
